Madison Thew-Keyworth

Madison Thew-Keyworth has worked professionally as a Director and Choreographer between Australia and New Zealand for the past 10 years. Prior to stepping on to the production side, Madison trained as an Actor with NIDA through their YAS program, trained in classical ballet from a young age and is a proud graduate of the school of hard knocks. Madison was part of the Australian National Tour of Calendar Girls, as well as having appeared in Gigi, Hello Dolly!, Cabaret, A Dream Play and The Gingerbread Lady.

On the production side, Madison’s show credits include Disenchanted!, A Chorus Line, Chicago and My Brilliant Divorce (MAT Australia), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Salute to Broadway and Mamma Mia! (VTA New Zealand).

Madison is thrilled to spend her time instilling a love for the performing arts with up and coming talent at Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre where she has Directed / Choreographed Singin’ in the Rain, Legally Blonde, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, Seussical and Shrek to name a few.

Courtney Johnston

Courtney considers herself very lucky to perform and teach the arts as her fulltime career.

Courtney began her dance training at 3, she then went on to study a Bachelor of Fine Arts Dance at QUT then subsequently began her studies at the Brisbane Academy of Musical Theatre, graduating in 2015. In 2016 Courtney was lucky enough to tour Australia with Hairspray: The Arena Spectacular playing the role of Shelley and understudying Tracy Turnblad.

In 2017 Courtney played the role of Roxie Hart in Mad About Theatre’s production of Chicago, Valerie Clark in A Chorus Line (2018) and starred as Cinderella in the Australian Premiere of Disenchanted (2018).

Demi Phillips

Demi has trained in Musical Theatre since she was three years of age. Post school Demi studied with Brisbane Academy of Musical Theatre before continuing her training with Broadway Dance Centre in 2018.

Demi made her professional theatre debut in Hairspray the Australian Tour. More recently Demi appeared in Chicago and A Chorus Line for Mad About Theatre, before featuring in the Australian Premiere of Disenchanted! (MAT 2018).

Alexandra Giove

Alex has been studying with Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre since she was in Grade 5, having appeared in nine shows over the years.

Alex starred most recently as “Gabriella Montez” in High School Musical Jr.

Alex has also made her professional debut, appearing as “Duffy” in Mad About Theatre’s production of Annie in 2018.

Alex works as a Junior Coach in Glee and Musical Theatre at SCYT.

Destiny Guteridge

Destiny has been training with Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre since she was in Grade 1, and has represented SCYT at State and National levels in Dance, Aerobics, Cheerleading and Glee over the years.

Destiny medalled in 2017 & 2018 in the Schoolaerobics National Championships in the Blue Stream sections, taking out the title of National Champion in 2017.

Due to her outstanding results, as well as her great club and team spirit, Destiny was awarded Intermediate Performer of the Year in 2017 & 2018.

Destiny works as a Junior Coach in Jazz & Lyrical.

Eline van Bruggen

Eline has been studying with Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre since she was in Grade 4, having appeared in twelve shows over the years.

Eline has starred as “Ursula” in SCYT’s production of The Little Mermaid Jr, “Lily St Regis” in Annie Kids and most recently featured as “Taylor McKessie” in High School Musical Jr.

Eline has also represented SCYT in Dance and Glee at a National level, taking out the title of National Champion in 2018 in the Glee! Audition Section.

Eline works as a Junior Coach in Musical Theatre at SCYT.

Holly Mackenzie

Holly has been training with Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre since she was in Grade 6, having represented SCYT at State and National level in Aerobics, Dance, Cheer and Glee.

In 2018 Holly was crowned State Champion in the Blue Senior Singles section at the Schoolaerobics QLD Championships.

Holly works as a Junior Coach in Sport Aerobics and Cheerleading at SCYT.

Katie Grandison

Katie has been studying with Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre since she was in Grade 5, having appeared in eleven shows over the years.

Katie starred as “Elle Woods” in SCYT’s production of most Legally Blonde Jr.

Katie has also represented SCYT over the years in Glee, Dance, Aerobics and Cheer at a State and National level.

Katie works as a Junior Coach in Jazz & Lyrical.

Tahlia Jolly

Tahlia has been training with Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre for the last three years.

In 2018 Tahlia was crowned State Champion in the Schoolaerobics Secondary Singles Orange section, before going on to represent SCYT and State at the National Championships.

Tahlia has also performed in numerous SCYT performances, most recently featuring as “Kelsi Nielsen” in High School Musical Jr.

Tahlia works as a Junior Coach in Sport Aerobics and Cheerleading at SCYT.

Ziah Harvey

Ziah has been studying with Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre for the last three years.

In her time at SCYT Ziah has featured as “Chutney Wyndham” in Legally Blonde Jr and most recently as “Ms Darbus” in High School Musical Jr.

Ziah’s outstanding application to her studies, along with her positive and upbeat attitude, led to her being award the Meraki Scholarship for 2019 for SCYT.

Ziah works as a Junior Coach in Glee.
